Remember all trout have to have three things to survive, food, oxygen, and shelter. Big trout love big bait, but in a way they are like us. Sometimes they want a big MAC so to speak for a meal so a big shinner will work great. Other times they have eaten good and only want French fry to eat so a spinner or night crawler will work. So another words if you wanna catch more fish use diffrent baits. If you wanna catch bigger fish use bigger baits. That's how I do it with my clients. I love when I have three people fishing, ill put one to using a shinner, one on a spinner, and one using a night crawler. That's how I fish, but I've always been partial to a shinner. It always produces monster trout. Capt. Hunter fishing outta north georgia.
